In the near future the earth has become desolate and dangerous. Taken over by a mysterious race of creatures, humanity has been forced to find refuge in the SkyArk, a man-made city in the sky. But as populations grow, space becomes less and less and only the rich and powerful stay dumping the poor and orphaned of SkyArk to the abandoned earth. An internal uprising begins, but fails costing the leading commander of the uprising to lose his life. His son, Rags, is branded with 13 marks of shame and exiled to earth where he is met with his fellow exiles. There he learns that it was prophesied that the son of the uprising commander with 13 marks would come to save them. Rags must now lead his fellow orphans to safety among the ruins of old earth battling through the horde of monsters to return to SkyArk and bring peace to the people.
