Recovering from a car accident where his wife and son perished, Jeff (Cary Elewes) awakens from a coma only to discover he is able to see visions of people who have died tragic deaths.

Haunted by images of the crash, he seeks the help of a spiritual heeler (William Hurt), who explains that the visions are souls trapped in a shadow world and are forced to relive their own deaths for eternity! In order to save his family from suffering the same fate, Jeff must pass into the shadow world, without losing his own soul to the demons within...
