The Jelly Roll Jazz Band was recorded live at Clay's Barbecue Restaurant in Benicia, California on September 30, 1999, by Alice Scheelar. This kind of jazz, the original jazz, was created in New Orleans over one hundred years ago. During the 1920s it spread north to Chicago, and from there across the whole world. Also known as Dixieland jazz, it is a unique part of our American musical heritage. Tracks include "All The Girls Go Crazy About The Way I Ride," "Sweet Sue," "Wild Man Blues," "Dallas Blues," "Sweethearts On Parade," "Down Where The Sun Goes Down," "Chinatown My Chinatown" and "New Orleans Shuffle."
